Wat Phra, BKK

FIRst thing this morning was traveling to the Grand palace again. Really looking forward now to see some of the kings stuff. But no, closed ... again, don't know. So the palace place to visit there was Wat Phra Chan. Many temples to see there under the hot sun. Even heard monks praying together with a crowd outside. This service made that foreigners were not allowed inside the most important. Temple on the compound. And of course in there you could have seen the big reclining, laying, Buda. After that hot experience I needed some street food before the walk to the national museum. Entrance 200 bht, 40nok, which is expensive here.

Here I hoped to learn a lot about Thai culture, but didn't. There was a lot about kings fighting and wars, and about f.I. stone age people making pots etc. Learned though that the Ban CLAN made already 2o00 before c beautifully perfect round stones for necklaces. Further on many Buda heads and funeral wagons of the royalties. I give this museum a 5 out of 10. There should be much more to see AND English text were mostly lacking. Part of the museum was closed. The logistics for how to walk was lacking, so it was difficult to find everything to see.

Walked back to boat pier 8, saw a small want and oriented me about prices for goldens rings at some Chinese stores (from 5.000 to 15.000 bht).

1000 bht is 220 Nok or 26 EUR.

Tip, take a boat from there where the bridge crosses the strain, if you run inside you will probably have a seat. To the palace and lying Buda, costs only 15bht. The Tourist boat will cost from 40 to 150 Bht per way. BOATS go very often.
