Ayampe sea view

Still sick with 38C fever i am laying on one of the mattresses  on the loft over  my room. It blows quit heavy  here, which is not bad with these temperatures around 30C.

This time their was no possibility  to stay with a local  family., so I am in hostalleria Italiano. To make practising Spanish even more complex. The hostal has a pizzeria restaurant.

Here my room with the view. First time in ecuador i sleep without earplugs, no barking dogs, no noisy tuktuks taxis.

The taxi from olon took 25 minutes and costet 15 dollar.,which is the normal price ,not the gringo one.

What I found out this week is that every little village has an emergency department or a doctor part of the day.

Homestay. Face in the cake birthday.

One day of 5 hours in the shade yesterday made me as pink as ritas tshirt. So today i bought new sun factor 50. 16 dollar. And stay indoors . It is 32C. Caliente. Hot.

 the son juan became 12 years yesterday. I got the impression that the invited children push the birtdayperson with his head in the cake. Great fun.

I am in a small town at the coast. Olon is its name. A very quet town. No parties but some very good passtellerias.

Happy birthday in english and in spanish. But the children mostly boys did not sing that much.

Rita is really in to making juchos fruitsappen in some water. 

The father went by taxi to collect the cake in the next big city. Although you can let make one in olon too. You only have to order 2 days before.

Those boys first line cousins really liked the cake. They almost eat their fingers too.

This week i studied spanish for litt under 1.5 hours at outdoor activity in olon. They also give surfing lessons. Swimming is more like jumping up and down because most waves are 1 to 2 meter high.

Sunset is exactly at 18.40 and lasts about 3 minutes. Swimming or snorkeling is possible at Salangor.

Climbing la Basilica

quito lies at 2.832m, so the first day after you land here you feel your hart pumping that hard that it hearts.

What a view you get when you go even higher, by climbing the 2 towers of the church la basilica in the old center.

As you see also the pastor priest likes to play ball that he dries his cloth in the footballcourd.

Big wall paintings in Miami.

Already last year I wanted to see the world famous murals in winwood Miami, near midtown.
You can take the free trolley from downtown to midtown and walk down to 29 th street and so in the direction of 2nd street. You will find many murals between 26 until 32 street.

Here are some of them. They are made by people from all over the world. It started with some to decorate empty buildings in a desolate part of the city. Now it is bustling of life.

My hotel, Hennessey house, is great.... but far away from everything, so it took me 3 hours by buss to come to winwood, but worth it. And 3 hours back ..plus walking from 137th/8th to 150th/10 back to the B&B.

In case I ever get a dull wall somewhere on my house, I now know what to do with it. Just become creative:-)
